We are looking candidates for a Post-Doc in bioinformatics and biostatistics for NGS data analysis and their application to metagenomics in domestic animals. Candidates must have obtained a PhD before the starting date (March 1st 2013) and have a strong background in statistics and/or bioinformatics. Previous experience on NGS data analysis and metagenomics is not essential but will be highly appreciated.
Tasks will include the development and implementation of methods for de novo and quantitative metagenomics and their application to livestock gastrointestinal datasets. The hosted fellow will work at the INRA Jouy-en-Josas centre (near Paris, France) in close interaction with bioinformaticians and biostatisticians from GABI, MICALIS, UMRH and MIA-Jouy INRA units and relevant international partners.
The Post-Doc is associated to the AgreenSkills programme (www.agreenskills.eu <http://www.agreenskills.eu>) and is funded for 24 months (gross salary of ~3500 €/month). The AgreenSkills eligibility criteria include having less than 10 years of research experience and “not having spent more than 12 months in France within the last 3 years immediately prior to the expected date of recruitment”.
