We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoc fellow or experimented research engineer for single-cell analyses. We are studying human thymus, focusing on stromal cells, in physiological and pathophysiological conditions such as autoimmune myasthenia gravis and thymoma.
This research project will use different single cell approaches: 1) On dissociated cells using the droplet-based single-cell technology from 10X Genomix to generate single cell cDNA libraries and investigate gene expression by RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq). 2) On thymic sections, with the Hyperion imaging system (Fluidigm). This technology combines the high-multiplex capabilities of mass cytometry with imaging using metal-tagged antibodies for the simultaneous analysis of up to 37 markers.
The combined approaches will provide the unique opportunity to explore thymic cell heterogeneity and will provide information about cell localization and cell-cell interactions.
Applicants should have academic degree and PhD in biology and bioinformatics skills for single-cell data analyses. Background in histopathology would be a plus.
