Investigating virus-host interactions in the killer yeast system
Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are thought as of genomic "dark matter" for which the biological significance has been largely underestimated. A bulk of recent literature has showed how some ncRNAs are important players in cellular regulation and fitness. Rapid advances in DNA synthesis techniques have now made it possible to chemically synthesize and modify biochemical pathways and reconstruct genomes. The world’s first designer genome has been recently synthesized by an international consortium of scientists within the framework of the synthetic yeast Sc2.0 project (1, 2).
Work to decode the genetics of a devastating neurological disease. You will focus on the analysis of non-coding DNA variants and the implementation of novel machine learning algorithms to predict biological impact based on patient DNA sequence and multi-omic profiling of human postmortem tissue and stem cell models.
Post-doctoral/engineer computational biologist in epigenetics at Nuclear Organisation and Oncogenesis Lab on the Institut Pasteur
A computational biologist position is available in the Dejean Laboratory, Nuclear Organisation and Oncogenesis Unit, to study to study the role of SUMOylation in the epigenetic mechanisms governing cellular identity in normal and disease cells.
Lixoft (www.lixoft.com) sells advanced software applications for the modelling and simulation of drug development and clinical trials. The Lixoft products are rapidly turning into standards for the pharmaceutical industry. Our technologies are based on a seven years research program on biostatistics and modelling led by the Inria institute, still a close partner of Lixoft.
