Senior Software Developer

The Archival Infrastructure and Technology team is looking for an enthusiastic software developer to work on our project to unify submissions to the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) archives. The Unified Submission Interface (USI) project is working to create a new programmatic and web-based submission interface for EMBL-EBI archives.

BioSamples Senior Software Developer

The Archival Infrastructure and Technology team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Java software developer to join the BioSamples database team. The project: The BioSamples database (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/biosamples) at EMBL-EBI is a resource that integrates biological samples from a wide variety of sources to provide a single location to apply standards and ontologies to sample data. It has grown from 14,000 samples in 2010 to over 6 million samples in 2019.

Stages a l'EMBL-EBI

L'Ambassade de France à Londres finance des stages à l'Institut Européen de Bioinformatique (EMBL-EBI) près de Cambridge. pipeline development for Single-Cell RNA-seq portal

We are looking for a highly motivated Bioinformatician/Senior Bioinformatician to
contribute to the development of the analysis pipelines behind EMBL-EBI’s Single Cell RNA-Seq portal,
a new added-value database providing information about gene expression in
single cells across different cell types, tissues and conditions.
A significant part of your work will involve working on the pipelines that
will process data from the Human Cell Atlas (HCA) project for visualising through the portal.

Bioinformatician – GA4GH Meta Data, Ontologies & Biosamples (Maternity cover)

The Samples, Phenotypes and Ontologies Team at EMBL-EBI seeks an enthusiastic, highly motivated bioinformatician to work with the Biosamples database team as part of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) initiative. This is a position specific to this project to ensure that human disease biological sample information can be integrated and made available worldwide.

Software development : Development of a model editor for drug discovery

We are looking for a talented student to develop an editing software tool for Pharmacometrics models. Those models describe and quantify interactions between xenobiotics and patients , including beneficial effects and adverse effects. They are applied to quantify drug, disease and trial information to aid efficient drug development, regulatory decisions and rational drug treatment in patients. Recently, a consortium of academic and industrial partners developed PharmML, a standard markup language to encode those models.
