Job description: The i3 laboratory ( is seeking to recruit one computer scientist (Engineer, MSc or PhD) with interest multi-omics data management and integration in the field of immunology.
This position is supported by a H2020 research grant program and benefit from an ANR research grant:
• iReceptorPlus is an H2020 grant aimed facilitating sharing of genomic and health Data, with a focus on Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire (AIRR) data ( ;
• Transimmunom is a Laboratory of Excellence (ANR) aimed at deep phenotyping of 1000 patients with various AIDs (

We are seeking one computer scientist for improving/developing and connecting a multi-omics database to an international network of Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire (AIRR) federated repositories, the AIRR Data Commons ( The iReceptor Gateway Turnkey as well as a tranSMART instance for multi-omics data integration are already implemented. Tasks will include benchmarking public and in-house tools and solutions, multi-omics database specification, software, web-services and multi-omics database development, all of this with the aim of ensuring interoperability of the multi-omics database with AIRR Data Commons. Data management will also be part of the missions to ensure efficient data storage and database update.

Candidate profile
The candidate will hold either an Engineer, MSc or PhD diploma in computer science or bioinformatics. Significant records on database design and development in an SQL and/or MongoDB environment are required. Experience with Service Oriented Architectures and the development of Web Services as well as with various coding languages (R, Python, C++) and multiple Operating Systems are desired. Experience with high throughput data management and integration will be highly appreciated.
The candidate should be willing to work in a highly collaborative and international environment. Written and spoken English proficiencies are required.

Professional environment: The laboratory is offering an interdisciplinary and well supported environment, including biologists, immunologists, clinicians, computer scientist and bioinformaticians. The current IT infrastructure core services rely on Hyper‐V, Windows Servers 2012, and OpenStack, Active Directory, SharePoint Foundation 2013 & SQL Server 2012 hosted in the i3 laboratory. The candidate will be based in the i3 laboratory located on the Pitié‐Salpêtrière hospital campus in Paris (13ème).
