The specificity of the laboratory is to associate competences from genomic and postgenomic on one side, and of population and ecosystem biology and ecology, on the other side. The application domains of these works are related to the environment and to the human and animal health. The general scientific strategy consists (i) to move closer genome and environment in order to favour the development of molecular ecology, and (ii) to develop interdisciplinary approaches towards the integrated knowledge of complex systems, mainly through the implementation of high-throughput tools.
