Analysis of genomic and transcriptomic data from feline T-cell low-grade intestinal lymphoma, a spontaneous animal model of human indolent digestive lymphoma

Human primary gastrointestinal lymphomas account for less than 5% of all non Hodgkin lymphoma. Among them, “Indolent T-cell lymphoproliferative diseases of the gastrointestinal tract” (GI TLPD) is a very rare entity that has been recently described as clonal T-cell proliferation infiltrating the lamina propria with indolent clinical course but altered quality of life.Genomic and transcriptomic analyses would be very helpful to describe molecular events involved in their pathogenesis, identify diagnostic and prognostic markers and detect new therapeutic targets.

• Description:
During tissue formation, transcriptional programs are deployed in a specific temporal order to ensure that progenitor cells first amplify and then differentiate to generate the functional cells of a mature organ. In principle, epigenetic marks on chromatin are used to limit the repertoire of genes that can possibly be dynamically regulated at a given time, ensuring robustness in transcriptional dynamics. However, the mechanisms that determine when and at which genes these epigenetic marks have to be deposited are unclear.

L’équipe VirPath du Centre International de Recherche en Infectiologie (CIRI) participe au projet européen DRIVE ( qui vise à comparer l’efficacité des différents vaccins antigrippaux. Au sein de ce réseau, plusieurs laboratoires participant à la surveillance épidémiologique de la grippe nous envoient des prélèvements de patients infectés par des virus influenza afin que nous puissions les caractériser par séquençage haut-débit.

Les cloportes communs de l’espèce Armadillidium vulgare peuvent voir leur sexe déterminé par différents facteurs (Cordaux & Gilbert 2017). On reconnait des chromosome sexuels « standards » à hétérogamétie femelle (WZ/ZZ), la bactérie endosymbiotique Wolbachia qui féminise les mâles génétiques, un nouveau chromosome sexuel féminisant appelé élément f, provenant de l’insertion récente du génome presque complet de Wolbachia dans celui du cloporte (Leclercq et al. 2016), et un gène masculinisant, noté M, qui contrecarre l’action de f.
