The Department of Computer Science of the Ecole Polytechnique is willing to recruit an Assistant Professor (*), carrying out a research project in either Bioinformatics, or Machine/Deep Learning.
Our team develops and applies methods for Computational Protein Design (CPD), which are implemented in our software package Proteus (https://proteus.polytechnique.fr). The project will aim to generalize some of the components of CPD to protein-RNA complexes, especially complexes between the ribosome and peptidic inhibitors. The project or a related one could be continued as a PhD, since a 3-year PhD fellowship has already been secured by our team, starting in the fall of 2020.
