Description

U1170 is working in the field of hematological malignancies is seeking a motivated bioinformatician. A 3-year contract managed by INSERM is available to fill a position that can be fitted to the candidate's experience and her/his expectations. She/he will be imbedded in U1170 with interactions with the local bioinformatics community.

The successful candidate will participate to a project investigating the consequences of a recurrent mutation of the PU.1/SPI1, a member of the ETS family of transcription factor, identified in a human lymphoproliferative disorder. A conditional model of expression of this mutation in mice leads to abnormalities in germ center response and plasma cell differentiation.

The project will use transcription (RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq), ChIP-seq data generated in the team and available in the databases to identify the mechanisms underlying the observed abnormalities in B lymphocyte maturation. The observations will be functionally validated in cell lines and model organisms, and verified using data from human lymphoproliferative and lymphoma samples.
