You will serve a central role in the business development of the product [3decision](https://3decision.discngine.com/).

Your primary mission will be to build and nurture the business relationship with our customers – from the early stages of prospecting, all through the sales cycle, and by continuous success management of onboarded customers.

Our customers are primarily scientists in the pharmaceutical industry working on structure-based drug discovery projects. An important part of your job is thus to understand the challenges and needs of computational chemists, medicinal chemists, and structural biologists when it comes to working with protein 3D structures.

This translates into a day-to-day activity of

* holding one-to-one meetings with scientists (e.g. discovery calls or problem interviews to understand the customer’s scientific and technical needs)

* assisting or giving presentations and live demonstration of 3decision to prospects and users

* communicating the customer’s pain points, needs, and feature requests to the Product Owner

* actively looking for new prospects (LinkedIn, CRM, mails)

In your role, you will also continuously interact with 3decision’s development team, the marketing team, and other business developers at Discngine. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate or host webinars, attend scientific conferences and customer on-site visits.

You have the possibility of working in our Paris-based offices (next to Bastille) or fully remotely from the city of your choice (internationally). The contract is for a permanent position and the salary is to be negotiated based on your profile and experience.

Profil: 

We are looking for a motivated and self-managing candidate who has a scientific background in the life sciences domain, the ability to listen to and empathize with people, and who wants to extend her/his skills into the world of business development of scientific software.

We are addressing an international and scientific market. The candidate must therefore be fluent in English and have a Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in computational chemistry, medicinal chemistry, structural biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.

Recruitment process: 

After reviewing your application, you will have a first informal telephone interview (~30 min) to cover the basics (current situation, availability, specific questions, motivations, expectations,...).

Then, a second technical interview with the recruitment team (1~2 hours), to cover the technical aspects of the position, HR questions, salary expectations...

An optional third informal interview to meet with other people from the company.
