Description
Leading Cancer Centre in Europe, Gustave Roussy is ranked #5 world's best oncology hospital and the first one outside the United States. Gustave Roussy brings together the best workers in fundamental, clinical and translational research. Researchers in Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus benefit from a dynamic transversal and translational scientific environment with top-notch facilities. The hosting team brings together researchers (biology, computational) and medical experts to accelerate Osteosarcoma research and cure. The team belongs to the pediatric department and the Tumor Immunology and anti-cancer immunotherapy unit (INSERM, Université Paris-Saclay)
Our team supervises the French national collection of data generated by Osteosarcoma trials. More than 1,000 patients participated in the trials and over the last years, multi-Omics, clinical, radiomics and IHC data have been collected and processed to generate an outstanding resource (BoOSTDataS). In the meantime, our team has generated single cell and Visium spatial transcriptomic datasets of tumors at different stages of progression. Altogether, the integration of these resources will fuel the investigations of the successful candidate to shed light on mechanisms driving the disease resistance and progression with expected quick translation into improved therapeutic strategies.
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in Omics analysis and an appetite to implement new machine learning strategies to decipher genetic program plasticity and tumor micro-environment. We are looking for candidates with excellent publication records, strong skills in R and Python, good knowledge of statistics, and an interest in Biology and Oncology.
