Job description

We are currently seeking our Solution Architect to build scalable internal and marketable solutions from the ground up.

You'll be collaborating with our data scientists in bioinformatics and artificial intelligence as well as external partners and clients with your main responsibilities including:

• Leading the frontend and backend development for the group and building a team to drive development
• Designing innovative solutions for personalized health using dietary, lifestyle, medical, and microbiome data
• Guiding and supporting the web application development lifecycle
• Designing internally used applications and workflows as well as database architecture
• Developing APIs to communicate with front-end interfaces
• Leading technical solutions
• Promoting a culture encouraging professional growth within the company

Qualifications

Education and experience:

• An engineering degree or 5+ year postgraduate degree in Computer Science or IT
• Doctorate in in Computer Science or IT

Skills

You at least 5 years of development experience and experience constructing or leading a development team, 

In addition to this, you’ll have at least a few of the following:

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages with at least one being R, Python
• The capability to develop new and improve existing analytical pipelines/workflows
• Proven experience working with data scientists and complex databases
• Familiarity working in agile frameworks
• Experience with cloud-based solutions/deployment (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
• AWS Certification
• Experience in being part of scaling-up solutions for a large consumer base

Supervision

Direct supervision of team of developers. You have direct supervision of contractors.
