Description

Servier is a global pharmaceutical group employing 22,500 people worldwide. Servier is an independent group, governed by a non-profit foundation and invests over 20% of its brand-name revenue in Research and Development every year. Committed to accelerate therapeutic innovation to serve patients, the Servier Group focuses on cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, oncology, neuropsychiatric and venous diseases. To promote access to healthcare for all, the Group also offers a range of quality generic drugs covering most pathologies. In 2020, the Servier Group achieved a revenue of €4.7 billion in 150 countries.

The aim of the proposed project is to identify innovative targets and new biomarkers for the treatment of pancreatic cancer using multi-modal patient data and advanced analytics. To successfully achieve this goal, we will be leveraging a multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative team involving bioinformaticians, data scientists and data engineers to set up a state-of-the art cloud environment that will enable the acquistion, storage and analysis of multi-modal data from multiple origins.  The successful candidate will be involved in the molecular and clinical data selection, acquisition and aggregation, and he will participate in the development or the adaptation of analytics for target identification and target scoring for their prioritization.

Key responsibilities

  • Recovery, analysis and integration of DNA, RNA, scRNA sequencing data with clinical information for deciphering pancreatic cancer
  • Data collection from prospective and retrospective patient cohorts and from the literature
  • Disease understanding using multimodal data including molecular, clinical and longitudinal patient data
  • Identification of new targets and biomarkers for cancer treatment is the major goal of this project
  • Data processing and integration
  • Application, development and publication of scripts for molecular data analysis for disease understanding and target identification
  • Carry out high-quality research within a multidisciplinary project team (code sharing, co-development, collaborative spirit)

Your profile :

- Ideally, you just finished your PhD or your first postdoc

- PhD in Bioinformatics/Biostatistics/Computational Science with a good knowledge of molecular biology

-Strong experience in molecular data analysis for deciphering cancer

- Experience developing algorithms or building data solutions, integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources

- Demonstrated experience in analyzing large scale data sets, specifically NGS sequencing data analysis including single cell RNASeq

- Solid programming experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: R, Python, and expert in Linux environment

- Knowledge of code versioning and publishing (github), containerized software (docker), cloud computing

- Knowledge of statistics and machine learning

- Good level of scientific english (oral, written)
