Description
Position title:
Postdoctoral Researcher in Translational Genomics – MOSACLID (ANR 2025) & GENIAL (HORIZON EU) Projects
Contract type:
Fixed-term postdoctoral contract (Inserm)
Duration:
12 months renewable
Starting date:
2026 (1st semester)
Host structure:
Inserm U1138 – Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers (CRC), Paris
Scientific supervisor:
Prof. Jessica Zucman-Rossi
Context and research environment:
The project aims to investigate the role of germline mutant, liver, and hematopoietic somatic mosaicism in the progression of chronic liver diseases to cirrhosis and its complications in HCC, in particular, related to alcohol consumption. The project relies on a unique cohort of 1,750 human liver samples and 400 blood samples and integrates high-resolution genomic approaches (ultra-deep WES, ddPCR, single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics).
Main missions:
- Characterization of liver somatic mosaicism.
- Identification of novel genes using ultra-deep WES.
- Analysis of CHIP prevalence and impact in chronic liver diseases.
- Integration of genomic, clinical and histological data in a translational framework.
Main activities:
- Bioinformatic analysis of WES and RNA-seq data.
- Somatic variant detection and annotation.
- Statistical and clinical correlation analyses.
- Preparation of manuscripts and scientific presentations.
Required profile:
- PhD in genomics, molecular biology, bioinformatics or related field.
- Strong experience in NGS analyses (WES, RNA-seq).
- Bioinformatics skills (R, Python, NGS pipelines).
- Strong statistical analysis skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Scientific English.
Additional skills appreciated:
- Experience in single-cell RNA-seq or spatial transcriptomics.
- Experience in clinical cohort analyses.
- Experience in multi-omics data integration.
