La plateforme InforBio recrute un.e ingénieur.e de recherche en bioinformatique pour un contrat en CDD 3 ans avec possibilité de pérennisation à la fin.
InforBio est une structure innovante dédiée à l’accompagnement des analyses bioinformatiques pour les biologistes et médecins de l’Institut de Biologie Paris Seine à Sorbonne Université. Nos activités s’appuient sur les principes FAIR et le système Galaxy pour proposer des prestations d’analyse de données, des collaborations de recherche et des formations de pointe.
Missions
Au sein de la plateforme d’analyse bioinformatique, vous serez en charge de :
- Analyser des données omiques (Single-cell, transcriptomique spatiale, épigénomique) en collaboration avec les équipes de recherche
- Concevoir, développer et maintenir des outils et pipelines d’analyse bioinformatique
- Concevoir et animer des actions de formation aux méthodes et outils bioinformatiques
- Participer à la gestion et à l’évolution de l’infrastructure (R/Python, Galaxy, stockage, etc.)
Activités principales
- Concevoir, développer et diffuser des outils d’analyse bioinformatique
- Proposer des stratégies d’analyse adaptées aux problématiques biologiques
- Assurer une veille scientifique et technologique
- Concevoir et animer des formations
- Contribuer au bon fonctionnement de l’infrastructure informatique
- Participer aux réseaux locaux et nationaux
- Contribuer à la rédaction de projets et demandes de financement
Profil recherché
- Expertise en analyse de données omiques (single-cell, transcriptomique spatiale, épigénomique)
- Maîtrise de Python et/ou R
- Solides compétences en analyse de données (clustering, réduction de dimension, statistiques…)
- Capacité à conduire des projets et à interagir avec des biologistes
- Anglais scientifique (≥ B2)
Savoir-être : sens du service, esprit d’équipe, capacité de vulgarisation

The InforBio platform is recruiting a Bioinformatics Research Engineer for a 3-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position at the end of the contract.
InforBio is an innovative structure dedicated to supporting bioinformatics analyses for biologists and physicians at the Institut de Biologie Paris Seine (IBPS) at Sorbonne University. Our activities are based on FAIR principles and the Galaxy system, providing data analysis services, research collaborations, and advanced training.
Missions
Within the bioinformatics analysis platform, you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing omics data (single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, epigenomics) in collaboration with research teams.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining bioinformatics tools and analysis pipelines.
- Designing and leading training sessions on bioinformatics methods and tools.
- Participating in the management and evolution of the infrastructure (R/Python, Galaxy, storage, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and distribute bioinformatics analysis tools.
- Propose analysis strategies adapted to biological research questions.
- Stay updated on scientific and technological developments.
- Design and lead training programs.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.
- Participate in local and national networks.
- Contribute to writing project proposals and funding applications.
Qualifications
- Expertise in omics data analysis (single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, epigenomics).
- Proficiency in Python and/or R.
- Solid skills in data analysis (clustering, dimensionality reduction, statistics, etc.).
- Ability to manage projects and interact effectively with biologists
- Scientific English (≥ B2 level).
Soft skills: service-oriented, team player, ability to popularize technical concepts.
The InforBio bioinformatics platform is located in the heart of Paris and is part of a multidisciplinary research environment, with strong user interaction and active involvement in national networks.
