About the job
Company Description

At endogene.bio, we want to bring high level precision medicine to female health. To that end, we have built the first platform to turn menstrual blood into a scalable, non-invasive biopsy to model uterine disease biology, unlocking better targets and clinical trial success rates.

We believe in doing what is right, not what is easy. We are scientifically driven, daring and believe that hard work and kindness are unbeatable. When a problem gets in the way, we put our heads down and give it our best as a team. We work as a community and want to empower and lift everyone who helps us in our journey, from patients to physicians to industry advisors. Our community is our superhero.

We are going to build a legacy in female health, and we want you in our team.

Role Description

endogene.bio is looking for a Bioinformatics Scientist with strong expertise in computational biology, machine learning, and multi omics data analysis and integration to join our growing team. We are particularly seeking someone who brings deep computational and modelling expertise, beyond standard bioinformatics analysis, and can help build the next generation of predictive frameworks for biomarker discovery and precision medicine in women’s health.

Key responsibilities

Advanced Omics Analysis: Processing, analysis, and interpretation of complex multi-omic biological datasets, with a heavy emphasis on scRNAseq, transcriptomics, and epigenomics.
AI & Machine Learning: Lead the development and application of machine learning and statistical modelling approaches for high dimensional multi omics data, with the goal of generating predictive and biologically meaningful insights.
Pipeline Architecture: Optimise and maintain robust data processing pipelines on cloud HPC environment such as AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, ensuring high performance, data accuracy, and scalability.
Statistical rigour: Determine and apply the correct statistical tests for diverse biological datasets and experimental designs.
Drug Discovery: Translate multi-omics data and biomarker discoveries into actionable insights to support our drug discovery and therapeutic target identification pipelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to translate computational findings into testable wet-lab hypotheses and clearly communicate complex project progress to stakeholders.
Scientific Strategy: Develop comprehensive project plans and milestones, staying at the absolute forefront of bioinformatics, AI, single-cell and methylation methodologies to keep our tech stack state-of-the-art.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field, plus a minimum of 2+ years post-doctoral or industry experience.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced, proven expertise in Python, R and bash scripting.
AI/ML: Previous experience applying ML and AI to biological, genomic, or transcriptomic data.
Specialised Knowledge: Proven, hands-on expertise in scRNAseq data analysis and single-cell workflows.
Cloud Infrastructure: Strong, practical experience deploying and managing bioinformatics workflows on cloud HPC environments.
Domain Expertise: Background in drug discovery, target identification, or precision medicine. Strong foundation in molecular biology and/or genetics. Knowledge in uterine health (endometriosis, adenomyosis, uterine cancer) is a plus.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive independence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup.
Languages: Proficiency in English.

This position is starting in June/July. This position can be based remote or in Paris.
