M2 internship: Decipher the cellular heterogeneity and developmental origins of infratentorial ATRT
The Genomic and Development of Childhood lab (https://institut-curie.org/team/saulnier) headed by Olivier Saulnier is looking for an M2 intern for 6 month internship in bioinformatics.

Background

Atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumors (ATRT) are rare, highly aggressive tumors of the central nervous system, driven by SMARCB1 inactivation. They arise in young children and originate early in development from immature embryonic cells, affecting distinct regions of the brain. Different subgroups of ATRT have been described, displaying molecular heterogeneity that suggests distinct embryonic origins.

Objectives

Our team works with bulk, single-cell and spatial data from pediatric brain tumors and normal embryonic development.
The candidate will help to list and compile all the datasets that we have and create an index.
Organize the transfer all our dataset to our new NAS.
Create a shiny app to perform QC and plots of expression or splicing accross datasets (interactively query expression of a gene in all datasets etc)

**Training and skills: **

• A L3 or M1 student currently in a master or engineer degree in bioinformatics or data analysis

• Need to have solid computational skills, a strong interest in biology and in scientific research

• Good level in English

• Ability to work independently, to communicate and to work in a team

• The candidate should be highly motivated, curious and enthusiastic to work in a collaborative team
