Description

Job Description

Bioinformatics & Computational Biology Intern — 6 months
Join our research team to explore the biological complexity of the skin and its microbiome through computational approaches. This internship offers the opportunity to integrate and analyze multi-omics data, develop models of the skin microenvironment, and generate insights into the impact of microbiome.
You will work with internal scientists and external academic collaborators to support research into skin health.

Start date: January/February 2027
Duration: 6 months

Mission

  • Develop computational frameworks to model the skin microenvironment and investigate the imapct of microbiome on skin
  • Analyze and integrate multi-omics datasets to identify molecular relationships and biological imbalances relevant to skin health
  • Create clear, informative data visualizations to communicate complex findings and support scientific interpretation
  • Translate analytical results into biological insights to help guide research hypotheses and future studies
  • Collaborate with internal researchers and external academic partners to advance the project and share findings

Profile Required

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in skin biology, microbiome research, metagenomics, and complex biological systems
  • Curious and analytical, with a proactive approach to scientific problem-solving
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment

Skills Required

  • Proficient in R and Python
  • Knowledge of biological databases and their use in research
  • Skills in biological data analysis and integration, particularly for multi-omics datasets
  • Familiarity with computational modeling approaches for complex biological systems
  • Ability to create and interpret scientific data visualizations
  • Understanding of metagenomics and microbiome analysis
  • Strong critical thinking, organization, and scientific communication skills
